Quality Schools International (QSI) Overview (170 pupils, 25 different nationalities)
QSI follows a Mastery Learning approach based on an American-style curriculum, focusing on ensuring students fully understand each subject before advancing. The core subjects include English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Cultural Studies, with high school students having access to Advanced Placement (AP) courses. The school also offers foreign language programs, such as French, German, and Bosnian, to enhance global citizenship and cultural awareness.
The school provides a personalized learning environment, with small class sizes that allow for individualized attention. In addition to academics, students engage in Art, Music, Physical Education (PE), and Technology. QSI uses MAP testing to regularly assess students’ progress and tailor instruction to meet individual needs.
QSI offers transportation services for most areas of Sarajevo (for an extra charge), catered lunch and snacks, and has an on-site nurse available during school and after-school activities (ASA). The school also provides counseling services and boasts a library with 22,000 books.
