While coverage varies across the country, in our experience, BH Telecom is the largest and most reliable provider overall.SIM cards are easy to find and purchase & available at provider branches, kiosks, supermarkets, and even at the airport. Some providers also offer eSIMs, which are great if you’d like to keep your home country SIM active at the same time. No registration is required to activate prepaid SIM cards in BiH.You can top up your credit online, through provider apps, or at kiosks and branches. Most providers offer both tourist SIMs (great for short stays) and regular prepaid SIMs (better for longer stays, as they offer more flexibility to recharge and customize your usage).Once you have residency status, you’ll also be eligible to sign up for a monthly plan.Tip for BH Telecom credit top ups: You need to purchase credit (eg at a kiosk or online) and then you need to actually elect the type of credit that you want (eg call minutes and text or internet) using the already purchased credit.
