Sarajevo International Airport is the main gateway to Bosnia and Herzegovina. For flight schedules, airlines, and transport options, visit their website.
A taxi from the city center takes about 20–30 minutes and typically costs 25–40 KM, depending on traffic. Arriving 1.5 hours before your flight is usually enough, though for early morning departures, note that security opens around 5 AM.
In winter, flights can be delayed or canceled due to fog or heavy smog, so keep that in mind when planning.
If you need alternatives, nearby international airports include Zagreb, Dubrovnik, Podgorica, and Belgrade. Tuzla and Zenica airports within BiH may also be options, depending on your route.

Getting to and from the Airport
You can reach the airport by taxi, bus, rental car, your own vehicle, or via E-go ride services. For more information (include bus timetables), check the airport’s official website, available in both Bosnian and English.
Long-Term Parking at the Airport
Parking at the airport is a convenient choice—especially for early morning flights when taxis may be hard to find. Just keep in mind that costs can add up quickly. For current rates, check the official pricing here.
As an alternative, cheaper option there are several businesses offering long term parking at a fraction of the price that are located just a short distance from the airport. Many of these businesses also offer a free shuttle bus to and from their parking lot to the airport. A quick google search will show you several businesses offering the service. On a recent trip I used Parking Aerodrom Sarajevo, which was reliable, cheap and super convenient.
