Postal System

Sarajevo’s postal services are mainly handled by BH Pošta, with post offices throughout the city offering domestic and international mailing, parcel delivery, and even in-person bill payments.

If you’re receiving a package from abroad, be aware that customs fees may apply—these can range from just 1–2 KM to 100 KM or more for higher-value items (typically over 300 KM). Smaller fees are usually paid directly to the delivery person.

Cash on delivery is a popular option when shopping online—simply pay the postman when your package arrives.

Several international courier companies also operate in BiH, including DHL, FedEx and UPS. These companies have offices and drop-off points throughout Sarajevo.

For money transfers Western Union has 150 locations across the city.
