We’re pretty sure Sarajevo has more salons than ćevapi shops, but if you’re looking for a place where you can actually explain what you want (without miming bangs or mimicking a blow dryer), here are a few English-speaking salons and barbershops we’ve tried and loved:
- Allure Beauty Salon Sarajevo – Run by a fabulous Bosnian woman now living in Australia, Allure is the go-to for brows, lashes, and that “I woke up like this” glow. The whole team speaks English, and you can book via phone, email, or by casually strolling in like a local.
- Hair by Gigis – is a salon in Alta Shopping Center. Walk-ins welcome.
- Frizerski Salon ML – Both for men and women! Clean and friendly!
- F&A Ultra Beauty Center – From nails to facials to glam makeup! This salon has it all.
- Hair Republic – Ask for Haris. “Book about a week ahead. Haris is not just a great stylist, he’s the kind of guy who makes you feel like you’re catching up with an old friend while getting a makeover!”.
- Pure Beauty by Edita – Easy to reach by car (free parking ). “I’ve been here for facials and massages – highly recommend. Edita is a warm, skilled, and works on Saturdays too. Text her directly for appointments!”.
- Barbershop Uppercuts – Top-notch service, normal prices, and super central. Just don’t show up last-minute, they book out fast!
- Barbershop Gianni – “Brought my two boys here: friendly staff, great cuts, and English speaking”.
