Overview: MAARIF INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS SARAJEVO enrolls 700 pupils—predominantly Bosnian, with 40% international— and is part of the Turkish Maarif Foundation’s global network. The school offers a blended curriculum guided by the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Education and Cambridge Assessment International. Subjects like Bosnian Language and Literature, Geography, History, Music Culture, and Fine Arts are taught in Bosnian, while English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and IT follow the Cambridge syllabus in English. For IBDP Year 1, applicants must have completed Year 2 of a four-year high school program, with admission criteria set by the school. They offer mind games, programming, music,sport, art etc. as clubs, and have facilities such as library, laboratory, sports hall, cinema hall, children’s park etc. No school bus. They have a pedagogue, a psychologist, a speech therapist, and a special education teacher who help the children with special learning disabilities.
